View from Columbia Tower

Happy Birthday Martha!! As any good husband, I took the day off from work to spend the day with my wonderful wife. We've always wanted to visit Seattle's tallest building the Columbia Tower. The observation deck is on the 73 floor and what a view! If you are ever in Seattle, skip the Space Needle (or don't), this is much cheaper ($5 instead of $15) and you have a much better view. In this particular view you can see the Harborview Medical Center, I-5, the intersection with I-90, Lake Washington, Bellevue, Mercer Island and finally, the Cascades way off in the distance.

Seattle Underground

Martha and I took a tour of the Seattle Underground today. The underground is what remains of the old part of town where the ground was eventually raised and created a series of tunnels out of the old sidewalks. There were lots of great shots, but this old isolated chair stood out the most.

Dimples

Making use of the light box I got for my birthday to capture this extraordinarily common, run of the mill, cantaloupe.

Working from Home

Wasn't feeling well in the morning, so I went back home for some sleep. After a good nap and lunch, I was feeling better and logged on to work from home. It so happens that I got my intervelometer today, so decided to try it out with a short time lapse of me working.
