Working from Home

Wasn't feeling well in the morning, so I went back home for some sleep. After a good nap and lunch, I was feeling better and logged on to work from home. It so happens that I got my intervelometer today, so decided to try it out with a short time lapse of me working.

Time period: 2:12pm - 3:53pm
Technique: 1x0.7 sec exposure every 30secs
Equipment: Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-55mm

Music: Theme from Mr. Deity. www.mrdeity.com

Winter Weather

When I moved to Seattle, I was told it rarely snowed. Well, for the past three years it has snowed every December. Since they are even less prepared here than in Tennessee, the roads are always a mess. In any case, at least it's a nice view out our living room window.

These are the three jack-o-lanterns that Martha and I did for Halloween.

Apple Inspiration

According to a recent study, the Apple logo is supposed to inspire creativity. So here is my attempt at being creative. I guess I probably maybe failed. Perhaps working at Microsoft makes me immune the power of the Apple logo. Actually, I think I'm not just that creative with pictures anymore (if I ever was). I used the back-light apple on the back of Martha's laptop and moved the camera around.

Happy in the Sun

When I got home from work, there was just a glimpse of sunlight on the flowers. I had to hurry to take some pictures before the sun hid behind the tall pine trees.

Fruity Art

An idea I got the other day with an apple. Just that this time, it's a plumb.

Stick Man

If I were a stick man, this is what I might look like. I've only played with light drawings once before. I acknowledge I'm not good at it, but at least it's fun. I drew the figure with the back light of my bike.

Navajo Pottery

It's back to work... This is the only souvenir I got on this trip besides a few post cards and refrigerator magnets. It's a small hand carved Navajo pot that I bought in Flagstaff.

B-ball

Nothing much going on today. With my little brother here, I had to get a basket ball. I haven't played in years...

The Final Four

I am always left with the last four pieces. I can never get them right. I used to know how to finish the cube, but I forgot the steps. Some day with a lot of spare time, I'll try to figure it out...
