Came across these flowers a few weeks ago. Not your typical Fall color, but stunning nevertheless. Please enlarge, as they look a bit faded in the thumbnail.
...Keeps the madness away.
My camera follows me wherever I go.
It takes a few pictures each day and I try to choose the best one.

Casualties of Fall
The beauty of Fall is almost over. The fading colors lie scattered across the ground defeated by the inevitability of life.

A Proposal
Today was a very special day. On the pretext of simply a nice walk in a garden, I took my girlfriend Martha to the Japanese garden in Seattle. After walking around and taking some pictures, I proposed to her while we were enjoying the view in a small hut. After a few moments of total surprise, I was relieved and so happy when she said yes!
Neither of us are much for the big and fancy, so I thought the quiet and peaceful Japanese garden would be perfect for the occasion. While the spring flowers have long gone, the autumn colors were fantastic.

Sun!
It's been raining for over a week and half. It finally decided to stop raining today in the morning and the sun came out for a little bit. It's been cloudy for so long that I had almost forgot that it even existed! On my way to work this morning I took a few pictures, and this was really the only one I liked. Most of the trees have lost all of their leafs and things are starting to look a bit gloomy, so it was nice to see some color.

Fall in the Rain
As I was driving back to my apartment from the post office I quickly stopped by the Microsoft campus to take a couple of pictures. This first picture is looking down 36th Ave. into the campus. See this location on Live Maps.

This second picture is of employees playing flag football in the rain at the fields on the Microsoft Campus. See this location on Live Maps.

More Fall Colors
Since I forgot to take and post a picture yesterday, I'm posting two pictures today.
This first picture was taken in my apartment complex. I've wanted to take a picture of this tree for a while, but it hasn't looked as cool as it did today after a brief hail storm.

This picture was taken at the Redmond Town Center. I had stopped by REI to get some chain cleaner for my bike and Tully's Coffee for a mocha. This is one of the side streets at the mall. See this location on Live Maps.

Halloween is Coming
As I was driving around today I saw this Halloween decoration in front of a house. I only had my camera phone and I was only able to briefly stop, so the picture isn't that great. But anyway, I thought it looked nice. Not necessarily because Halloween is around the corner but because it reminds me of all the nice Autumn colors and its brisk weather. It also reminds me that October is half over and I can't believe this year has gone by so fast.
