Dusty

A dusty keyboard that I have sitting in the corner at work. A few months ago I accidentally spilled a little bit of coffee on it and guess what, water and electronics don't mix. The lesson? Don't drink and type.

The Long Dark Hall

I had to stay late at work today. So before leaving I took this picture of the deserted hallway. After 9, they turn off some lights; thats why it looks somewhat dark.

Windows Vista Launch

Today was the Windows Vista and Office 2007 world wide launch. So in several cafeterias across the Microsoft campus they showed the web cast of Bill Gates in New York City launching the products. At the end of the event, they dropped a ton of balloons attached to the ceiling. Some of them contained prizes which I obviously didn't win; probably because I was busy trying to take a picture. Potato Head Star Wars

Remember that my office mate was a Star Wars aficionado? Well, today he added to his collection of Star Wars memorabilia. He got these Mr. Potato Head Star Wars figures. These are actually kinda cool.

Bowling

As a reward for a year of hard work (I've only been here 6 months), the entire Virtual Earth team went bowling. It was actually nice only working half the day; especially on a Monday. It's been 8 or 9 years since I've gone bowling, so needless to say (yet, I'm saying it), I sucked. I was lucky the first game and actually had several strikes. But, my luck vanished for the rest of the afternoon. I took several pictures, but really none came out well at all. I'm blaming the lighting.

New Coffee Machines

Today was a long day at the office. Certainly not the type of day you want for a Friday. Anyway, today we got new Starbucks coffee machines installed in the kitchenettes at work. Not that Starbucks is that great, but it sure beats what we used to have. Yeah, I know. It's not an interesting picture, but like I said, it was a long day at work.

Sidewalk Chalk Drawing

The new Windows Mobile platform was released a few weeks ago. So, just like they did with IE 7, they drew some ads with chalk by the entrance of our buildings.

Microsoft Visitor Center

Went over to the Company Store after work today. On my way out, I stopped by the Visitor Center. In this view you can see the exhibit for the new Zune and in the background the history of Microsoft products. The Visitor Center is actually rather small, but if you are ever in the area, I'll give you a tour.

Start Wars Geek

My office mate is a bit of a Star Wars fan. On Halloween he went to one of his meetings with his mask on. Hmm...

Window Cleaning

Stepping out to get some lunch at the cafeteria, there were some guys cleaning the windows. Rappelling of a building and swinging around looks like fun.En mi camino a la cafeteria, vi que estaban limpiando las ventanas del edifio. Columpiandose del edificio parece divertido.

Yet Another Rainy Day

Just another rainy day. I wasn't feeling very good in the afternoon, so I didn't go anywhere. This tree is right outside the building I work in.

Halloween at Microsoft

About a week ago, they decorated the lobby of our building. This is from the inside next to the elevators. There are spiderwebs all over, skulls, Fall decorations and this ghostly looking skeleton.

Sidewalk Chalk Art

As some of you might know, Internet Explorer 7 launched earlier this week. So in order to promote it around the Microsoft campus, they drew these outside the buildings by their main door. Lovely chalk art, isn't it?

BTW, I use Firefox.
