Shito

Our cat named Shito, also known as Mitsubishi, Catso Fatso and an assortment of other names passed away today. I am sad that he died, but at least he is no longer suffering. He had been sick for quite some time now and just last week we found out that he had a sort of leukemia. He spent the last days of his life at the apartment in Mexico City with Mom, Dad and Roberto. He was approximately 11 years old. He will be burried in the back yard of the house in Toluca along with our other good pet Lisa.

In this picture, he lays in the dog house as lazy as could be on a sunny winter day. (December 26, 2005).

More Fall Colors

Since I forgot to take and post a picture yesterday, I'm posting two pictures today.

This first picture was taken in my apartment complex. I've wanted to take a picture of this tree for a while, but it hasn't looked as cool as it did today after a brief hail storm.

This picture was taken at the Redmond Town Center. I had stopped by REI to get some chain cleaner for my bike and Tully's Coffee for a mocha. This is one of the side streets at the mall. See this location on Live Maps.

Looking Through a Bottle

A wine bottle to be exact. I was just experimenting looking through different objects. And no, I wasn't drunk.

Yet Another Rainy Day

Just another rainy day. I wasn't feeling very good in the afternoon, so I didn't go anywhere. This tree is right outside the building I work in.

Halloween at Microsoft

About a week ago, they decorated the lobby of our building. This is from the inside next to the elevators. There are spiderwebs all over, skulls, Fall decorations and this ghostly looking skeleton.

Fall at Marymoor Park

Since Autumn is one of my favorite seasons, here is another picture of a tree in its Fall colors. This picture was taken at Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA.

More Fall Colors

As I went out today to the grocery store, I took a slightly different route than normal to see if I could find any interesting picture. This looked much nicer in real life, since you could better see the row of colorful trees down the street.

Sidewalk Chalk Art

As some of you might know, Internet Explorer 7 launched earlier this week. So in order to promote it around the Microsoft campus, they drew these outside the buildings by their main door. Lovely chalk art, isn't it?

BTW, I use Firefox.

Writing in Thin Air

After yesterday's picture, I decided to go by a tripod. So I decided to try it out right at home. Yesterday's picture reminded me of a time lapse picture I had seen in an art book. Picasso was experimenting with photography and drew an image in the air using a candle.

Having no talent drawing, much less in thin air I decided to try writing something. I don't have any candles, so I used something more modern - a flashlight. At first I had used a small laser pointer, but it was too faint since the beam of light is to focused. After trying a few flashlights, I found one that best dispersed light.

After several attempts, I was finally able to get a picture that was somewhat decent. Considering it would be much harder to write backwards in thin air, I simply wrote normally and flipped the picture so you could easily read what it says.

Movement at Night

I totally forgot to take a picture yesterday. So, before I missed another day, I went out in the rain to look for a picture. In this picture, I'm near my apartments just waiting for cars to drive by and catch their tail lights as ghosts. After this outcome, I believe I need to get a tripod to get better pictures of this sort.

Halloween is Coming

As I was driving around today I saw this Halloween decoration in front of a house. I only had my camera phone and I was only able to briefly stop, so the picture isn't that great. But anyway, I thought it looked nice. Not necessarily because Halloween is around the corner but because it reminds me of all the nice Autumn colors and its brisk weather. It also reminds me that October is half over and I can't believe this year has gone by so fast.

Another Rainy Day

Seattle is starting to show the weather it's famous for. Every once in a while there was a ray of sun making it through the clouds.

A boring picture for a boring day

Today was cold and rainy. I suppose I better get used to it since Seattle is known for rainy winters. I really didn't do anything at all today except work on my chess website... what a geek. Anyway, today's picture is simply a picture of the inside of my apartment.

One day, one picture

I've decided that I'm going to take a picture of something different each day and post it to my blog. So, seeing that it's almost midnight and I can't go outside to take a picture, I took a picture of myself standing infront of the mirrors in my closet.
