Balancing Act

Martha, Ili and I went for an afternoon walk to Kirkland before Thanksgiving dinner. This funny seagull kept trying to balance on buoy.Balancing Act47.675012,-122.20854

Red-winged Blackbird

A male red-winged blackbird at Juanita Bay Park. Maybe I'm colorblind, but that looks orange to me, not red.

Osprey

It's Monday, so this is an archive picture. I took this two weeks ago in Marymoor Park by the velodrome.

Taking a Break

I didn't have a picture for today, so I decided to post from my archives. I took this picture of these two blue birds on Saturday at Juanita Bay Park. These blue birds didn't like to sit still. They would only spend a few seconds on this branch before swooping away to go catch some insects.

Sunset Over Puget Sound

I went for a small hike to the Discovery Park in north Seattle. I made it to the south beach in time for the sunset.

I got to the beach as the tide was going out. It was actually already out pretty far, but it still kept going. It was neat to stand at the edge of the lapping water and notice it move back several feet in a mater of minutes. In some spots where the water pooled, the reflection from the sky gave the pools a neat mirror image.
